Actualizaremos nuestro sitio web cuando esté disponible la orden formal del Oficial de Salud del Condado de Alameda.

    Debido a esta noticia reciente, el equipo de gestión de Moss Precision ha estado formulando activamente una estrategia para gestionar esta extensión previsible. Los supervisores del departamento se pondrán en contacto con cada empleado individualmente para actualizar su estado laboral y dar las directivas. Si tiene alguna pregunta, comuníquese con su supervisor directo o con HR.

    Updated Order Extends Shelter at Home

    New Order Directing Alameda County to Shelter at Home

    As of Tuesday, March 31, 2020, the Shelter in Place Order to reduce the spread of COVID-19 has been extended through May 3, 2020.
    Health Officer Order is in place that requires that most people stay home unless they are engaged in certain “Essential Activities” which are discussed in the full Health Officer's Order.
    A brief summary of the major changes in the order is here.
    All persons to shelter at their place of residence, other than to provide or receive essential services, which include:
    -Performing tasks or activities essential to personal or family health and safety;
    -Obtaining necessary services and supplies, including perishable goods food and medical supplies (a more detailed list in the Order);
    -Engaging in outdoor activity: You are also allowed to go outside, including to take care of pets, go on a walk, or exercise--so long as you do not congregate in a group and maintain at least six feet of distance between you and other people.
    -Performing work providing essential products and services.
    For most people, this means you and those you live with should remain at home. If you are sick, you should self-isolate, including, to the extent you can, from others you live with (more on that in the Order).
    All non-essential businesses to cease non-exempt operations at physical locations.

    Unemployment insurance claims:

    Please find the attached info from EDD which explains the benefits available to employees whose wages have been reduced due to a quarantine. If you have any further questions please email or call your supervisors or Bee.

    From the EDD website: http://www.edd.ca.gov Coronavirus 2019 FAQs
    Unemployment Insurance Benefits
    What benefits are available if I am subject to quarantine, am not ill, and am not found eligible for a Disability Insurance claim?
    You are encouraged to apply for Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits if you are unemployed, which includes reasons such as:
    -Your hours are reduced due to the quarantine.
    -You were separated from your employer during the quarantine.
    -You are subject to a quarantine required by a medical professional or state or local health officer.
    -The Governor's Executive Order waives the one-week unpaid waiting period, so you can collect UI benefits for the first week you are out of work. If you are eligible, the EDD processes and issues payments within a few weeks of receiving a claim.

    EDD representatives may need to set up a phone interview with you to collect more details.

    If you are temporarily out of work and plan to return to the same employer, you do not need to meet the usual requirement of looking for work while you are collecting unemployment benefits. The EDD will inform you if you are not required to look for work each week.

    3/18/2020 Update

    Employees who would like to use their accrued sick leave and/or vacation hours to make up for lost days/wages for the 3/27/20 payroll can contact our office via email at: b.sekelj@mossprecision.com or call (510) 962-3776. Please submit these requests no later than 3/25

    Notice to employees: Moss Precision will be covering lost wages from 3/17/20-3/20/20. In light of possible changing directives to the Covid-19 Shelter in Place Order and unforeseen fluctuations in future weekly hours worked, Moss Management is encouraging hourly employees to file an Unemployment Insurance Claim (with a start date of 3/23/20) with the Employment Development Department (EDD) as soon as practical.

    **Please note that each employee must file an unemployment insurance claim through EDD for reduced work hours individually by either going online, calling, or via mail/fax.

    **Please note on your Unemployment Insurance claim form that the reason for reduced hours is due to the Alameda County Health Officer's Coronavirus Shelter In Place Order.

    **Remember to file your UI claim in the first week that you have your hours reduced (week of 3/23/20). Your claim begins on the Sunday of the week you submitted your application. EDD will be experiencing a large increase in claims filed so they are encouraging everyone to use the online option for faster service.
